Those people at West Country Farmhouse Cheesemakers (Somerset, UK) are seriously loopy in the nicest way. I’ve blogged about them before. Back then they made news claiming their cows moo with a distinct Somerset accent and you may remember they relax the cows by playing them classical music during milking. Well, now they bring us Cheddarvision: a 24/7 live webcam feed of a cheddar cheese ageing and ripening.

If watching mould grow in real time doesn’t quite do it for you (although I find it hard to believe there are people out there who would find this less than riveting) they also have a YouTube clip of the first 3 months in time-lapse.

Thanks to K for bringing this slice of lunacy to my attention and shame on me for not being on top of it earlier. I pride myself on being the Big Cheese of internet quirkiness, so today I am somewhat humbled.
